Krista Harris

Elementary School Honor Orchestra Conductor

Krista Harris is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, CA, and has a Masters Degree in Flute Performance from California State University, Fresno. Mrs. Harris has been actively involved in numerous choral and instrumental performing groups at Fresno Pacific University, California State University, Fresno, and the local community, including Fresno’s Les Flûtes Enchantées, Fresno Pacific Wind Ensemble, Fresno State Symphony Orchestra, and the San Joaquin Chorale. This is her fifteenth year teaching in the Clovis Unified School District, where she is the orchestra director at Clark Intermediate School as well as Clovis and Weldon Elementary Schools. Each year students from her orchestras participate in local and state honor orchestras, and her ensembles earn superior festival ratings. Mrs. Harris helps coordinate the young cellists portion of Cello Fresno’s annual International Cello Festival. She has also served as the director for the New Horizons Orchestra, a community ensemble through Fresno Adult School. Krista is married to her husband Cactus Harris, a musician, and has three young children, Winston, Theodore, and Charlotte.
